And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: And God saw that it was good.

Wow! These are really really beautiful. Luminous. Gorgeous colors and wax-textures.
ReplyDeleteThank you Coreopsis. I looked at your blog. The technique and texture you achieve in your pen and ink is marvelous.
DeleteBeautiful vibrant colors and texture. Growing up, my Indonesian mother, always had pretty batik art on our walls and gorgeous batik dresses in her closet. But they were always dark brown and I wished there were also other colors. Therefore I really like your skillful art and artistic color choices!
ReplyDeleteAriannah, This story is beautiful. I am fascinated with traditional Indonesian batik and it's beauty. I am so glad these works brought that remembrance to you. Thank you for sharing you experience.
